Love for Enemies

today, my sister, cousin, and i went to church late. we skipped bible study and arrived just in time for service. i'm glad i went. being a christian helps me to be a better person and going to church helps me find ways to be that better person.

"You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate you enemy.' But i tell you : Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in Heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect" -- Matthew 5:43-38

i love sermons like these. why can't we just all get along, right? (: last week's was similar to this weeks. it was about how we shouldn't follow the "eye for eye, and tooth for tooth" motto. I mean, if someone does something mean and you do the same it only means you're stooping down the their level. But, if you just keep doing kind things for the person who is mistreating you, eventually they'll realize what their doing is wrong. and try to be a good person too. right? SIGh. it would be in an ideal world but some of these people are heartless ); LOL ! what is this negativity at the end of this hopeful blog. hahahah (": the Bible is so insiprational. i love Sundays <3
